So, I completely overhauled everything that I could on the frontpage (thanks to Wordpress). I still have a couple other things that I need to change, but hopefully, they won’t be too hard to do.
I plan on switching my picture pages over to Gallery when I can, and the forums will hopefully get a new layout soon as well, although nobody ever uses them, so I’m not so worried about that.
Well, I just updated the site to use something that makes updating a lot easier, not that anyone is actually reading this site, but it helps me feel better.
Ok, so I updated the pages, added the navbar to the forum pages, and finally have everything set up in a reasonable manner.
I’ve added a cookie option to the forum, so that you can log in, and have a cookie stored on your system so you don’t have to re-login every time.
Also, I created the logo you’ve probably seen by now.
The pictures page is dynamically generated, and the pictures are no longer parsed through the index page, and the other pages on the site are also not parsed through the index page, making the whole thing just cleaner in general.
That’s all that I have to say about that.
Yeah, so I didn’t get around to re-doing the pages the way I want to. I still probably will at some point. But I have updated two things. I added some more pictures to the pictures link there on the left and re-did the pictures page so that it auto-generates the thumbnail pages from the thumbnails and pictures directory. Which means I just have to upload the thumbnail and the picture and I don’t need to re-write any html. I thought it was cool anyways.
On a side note, those pictures are from a camera that’s had that film in it for almost 2 years, so some of them are fairly old, from just before Jim shipped out.
I’m probably going to re-do these pages, you won’t notice anything at all, really, but it will be different, I swear, probably. Maybe if I can stop being so lazy.
So, my schools DNS servers are broken, and nobody seems to care. I’ve switched to using CSULB’s name servers instead (hey Jason). The reason I mention this is because I thought my site had been innaccessible for over 4 days, but it turns out it was my name servers fault. Oh well. Hopefully I won’t have any more problems.
Hey, I finally got the forums up and working. I still have some layout changes and some bugs in the code to fix, but everything should work fine. Also, make some new topics, go ahead.
